deep in the forest of northern Minnesota
I started building guitars in junior high school, worked in an electric guitar factory (over 1,000 fret jobs!) and built a few custom instruments before moving to the woods at 25. I started doing repair work again and built myself a guitar - just one. Well, that opened up the old dream factory and now I'm back into it.
I also run a small canoe trip outfitting company with my wife Nancy and sons Ben and Will. We send groups into the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. It's my other love and so I do get the best of both worlds - six months at a time. You can read about the outfitting here.
